Word allows for very basic functions all the way up to advanced functions. You can change the format of your text in two ways: Choose a text-formatting command first, and then type the text. All the text you type is formatted as chosen. Type the text first, and then select the text as a block and apply the formatting. When copying text from another document or Internet web page and pasting it into Microsoft Word, Word keeps the formatting of the text. In the menu at the top of the Word document, click the Review tab. To remove all styles from a block of text, open your Microsoft Word document, then follow these steps: Highlight the paragraph or block of text that contains the problematic formatting. Microsoft Word has many features that format documents for optimal readability. It will be represented by a dotted line across the page labeled “Page Break.” (In Word 2010, the indicator will extend only part of the way across the page.) Make sure the “Home” tab is active. Then you will see a Word file with “_unprotected” suffix which retains all the data and formatting of your original Word file. 3.
