I have had the honor of being asked to express my opinions in the public forum several times over the past five years. I take these invitations seriously, using them as an opportunity to explore my own ideas and test prevailing opinions. While some would label me a contrarian, I am perfectly willing to accept conventional wisdom, so long as it has an evidential basis. The greatest compliment I received as a speaker came in 2012, when I was told by an industry veteran that he agreed with everything I said, but he doubted that the conference organizers would have me back (they did).
